The Next Generation Physics Teaching conference is a two-day regional meeting. To encourage participation from the maximum number of teachers, the Center for Astronomy and Physics Education Research (CAPER) is funding travel stipends for attendees that will travel over 150 miles each way. Preference will be given high school teachers. To encourage carpooling, groups of two or more will be considered for larger stipends.
Travel stipends of $125 per teacher will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis to pre-registered attendees who submit a request before noon on Monday, March 9th. In the absence of a formal application process, submit your request by leaving a comment in the following form.
At the meeting’s check-in desk, any attendee who has been awarded a stipend must complete and submit a W9 form, with the stipend check to be delivered by mail in roughly four to six weeks.
